What a fun spirit week so far!  House Color Day, Hat Day and now PJ Day!  Everyone looked so cozy in their jammies today!

Homework Alert!

Any students who did not complete their response to chapters 7 and 8, please make sure you finish them for tomorrow.  Everything you need to complete the assignment (including the chapters) is posted in Showbie in your ELA groups. Forgot your reading journal at school?  No sweat!  Respond on a loose leaf and glue it in tomorrow! I postulate that each and every one of us will complete the task!

Trudeau Mania 2.0 in 6F4

Last night, and afternoon, there was a big win for liberals in Golden Gate's riding.  In sciences humaines, 6F4 did a mock vote, complete with official voting slips, pencils, and official voting boxes.
Here were our results:
Liberal-Doug Eyolfson: 66.7 %
Conservative-Steven Fletcher: 29.1%
Green- Kevin Nichols: 4.2 %
NDP-Tom Paulley: 0%

Nos citrouilles de reconnaissances!

In French today students were challenged to follow a set of directions (in French) without asking for any teacher assistance.  They were provided will all of the tools they required to complete a task, and were encouraged to problem solve to overcome any obstacles they were encountered with.

Friday, October 2nd

Today we started learning about the government in sciences humaines.  Here is a link to one of the short videos we watched to activate our learning about the levels of government and their responsibilities:

In ELA we are learning about how to use information to justify our ideas and opinions.

In FLA, we started our Tableau d'inspiration presentations.  So far, we've seen some great presentations that demonstrated a very good understanding of our learning goals.  I'm excited to see the rest on Monday!

I can't believe that it is already October!  We're kicking off the month with some important due dates!

Sciences Humaines: Your maps of Canada are due tomorrow, October 2nd.  Make sure that you used the checklist on the back of your maps to ensure that you have all the necessary criteria.



FLA: Our Tableau d'inspiration presentations will continue tomorrow, October 2nd.  Don't forget our learning goals when you are practicing tonight:)
